It Killed My Eyes and Gave Me Migraines
I'm a web designer and I needed a monitor that was easy on the eye. This one was awful.
It had great build quality and the color calibration was great out of the box, but the cheap 6-bit TN+ panel was not suitable for long term use and it gave me headaches and eye strain.
I defiantly couldn't work on this monitor for more than a few hours. I sent it back after the first day and paid the restock fee.
Another bad thing about this monitor is the 160 degree viewing angle. It's a big monitor and you can see a colour fade between the top and bottom of the screen. My last monitor was a 19inch LG and it had a 178 degree viewing angle and so I never thought it would be an issue. Having seen this monitor I would never consider buying a monitor that wasn't 178degrees.
I can understand why the other reviewers gave it a good mark. It looks lovely and the build quality is like a Rolls-Royce. But, if you are looking for a great monitor that you can work on all day without eye strain or migraines then don't buy this one.
Kind Regards,
Adrian Smith

It's a monitor
I've had excellent luck with NEC and this monitor seems to continue that trend. My clients always opt for cheap monitors and it shows; they have backlight bleed, dead or hot pixels and often fail after a year or two. NEC has none of this. The reason for only 4 stars is the viewing angle is poor on this unit, it's fine for straight-on viewing but any angle causes blur and fade, not so good with a dual monitor arrangement of this size. It does tend to run a little warm and it's a tank... very thick and heavy in comparison to others like it on the market but I like that industrial feel it has.

Very nice monitor for the money
I use this monitor for photo editing. It calibrated nicely, and shows great detail. For the money invested, it is a great choice.
